Katherine Wurst is a Wisconsin and Midwest U-23 rugby standout, majoring in Exercise Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Katie will complete her 12 week internship working at the Wisconsin Rugby Union's office in Milwaukee,Wisconsin. Katie internship is the first offered by the Wisconsin Rugby Union, Inc. ------------------------------------------ 6-16-03 Our Wisconsin U-19 squad won the de facto U-19 LAU Championships in Denver at the Rocky Mountain Challenge. They beat Texas 26-15 in the final. Congrats! ------------------------------------------ 6-2-03 Updates in the Youth section on high school championship results and the selections for our U19 squad. ------------------------------------------ 5-13-03 It's that time of year for our youth to pursue glory at the end of their seasons. Boys and Girls' Select Side info posted in the youth section. ------------------------------------------ 5-12-03 Milwaukee RFC lost to Red Mountain (Pacific No. 1 seed) on Saturday in the national Sweet 16 27-23. They turned around and posted a win against Burlington the following day 38-15. Congrats on a fine season. ------------------------------------------ 5-6-03 Congratulations to our own DSHA for winning the girls Midwest championship this past weekend in Minnesota. Congrats also to Kettle Moraine (2nd) and Highlander (4th). Here are results: MW Championship: DSHA 19 Kettle Moraine 15 Third Place: Wayzata, Minn 42 Highlander, WI 12 DSHA and Kettle Moraine advance to Nationals in Kansas City June 7th-8th. ------------------------------------------ 4-29-03 Milwaukee RFC finished second in the Division II Midwest. They advance to Nationals. Congratulations and good luck. ------------------------------------------ 4-14-03 The Milwaukee RFC beat the Chicago Blaze to advance to the men's Division II Midwest Final Four. Black 'n' Blue (Milwaukee) also won their bracked to advance to the Division III Final Four. Both Final Fours are in Chicago on April 26 and 27. Nice work. ------------------------------------------ 4-14-03 Congratulations go out to the Women U-23 Select Side for winning the LAU tournament! They beat Iowa 63-0 on Saturday and defended their title by beating Minnesota 13-3 on Sunday. Congrats, also, to the Men's Collegiate Select Side, who beat Allegheny 39-9 on Saturday but lost to Iowa on Sunday 29-22.
